Grey Crazy Lace Agate

Posted by juliesjewels on September 3, 2010

This necklace ended up being created as a 2-fer.  The BHV group had Crazy Lace Agate as their August gemstone and BoBB’s Imagination Station was…

I created the below because…

It’s winter over here (well it was in August) and the skies are grey, we are also receiving lots of rain which is actually filling our dry rivers and dams, so the water is a dirty, swirling colour.

The patterns in the Crazy Lace Agate is reminding me of our filling waterways…

A photo in the shade

and a photo in the sun – just to show the differences in the stone

Also includes mother of pearl discs, czech crystal and glass, sterling silver spacers and plated silver extension chain

This can be found in my ArtFire studio – Crazy Lace Agate Necklace

Amethyst & Aragonite

Posted by juliesjewels on August 23, 2010

The August recipe…

You may use more beads but no less…..(A challenge to use smaller beads and no crystal or glass.)

…this is what I created…

Gemstone Recipe Necklace – which I’ve sent to our new local Gallery

Pretty Amethyst & Aragonite stones with Sterling Silver and Pewter – I’ve never used this colour combination together, Purple and Yellow, but I think it works.  Do you?
